Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to the details you give through this website, and what you can ask us to do about them. "We" and "us" means Nailed It by Louisa.

Who runs this website

This website is run by Nailed It by Louisa, a nail and beauty studio at Regent Place, 646 King Lane, Alwoodley, Leeds LS17 7AN. You can email us at ljtottie11@hotmail.com. Our current contact details are always on the contact page.

What we collect and why

Messages sent through the contact form

When you send a message, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It is stored on this website and emailed to us so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it, which we do when it is no longer needed.

Appointments booked online

When you book, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the treatments and time you chose, and any note you add. We use them to hold your appointment, to send you a confirmation, and to contact you if anything changes. They are stored on this website, and we may also keep the appointment in our own diary or calendar. We keep booking details for as long as we need them to look after your appointments and our records, and then delete them.

Deposits

If a deposit is taken when you book, you pay it on a secure payment page run by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this website. We receive a record that the payment was made, and the amount.

Who looks after the data for us

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process this data on our behalf and deliver the website's email. They only use it to run the website for us.

Cookies

The website sets two small cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which keeps the website working as you move between pages and fill in a form, and a security cookie, which protects the forms from misuse. Neither is used to track you.

Our own count of visitors does not use cookies. If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags in future, a banner will ask you first, and nothing from them is set unless you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser so that you are not asked on every page.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or delete them, and object to how we use them. Email us and we will reply within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Staging

This is your staging site. It is not your live website. Changes land here first so you can check them before the public sees them.
